Opened in 2004, The Flying Angel Centre, is at the heart of A&P Falmouth’s shipyard, positioned on the South West coast of England. The old Flying Angel Centre was replaced in 2013 with a new, bespoke portable eco-building (a Studio Ark), which is an imaginative, environmentally-friendly design – built in Cornwall by Pioneer Environmental Buildings.  Seafarers will find a luxurious lounge and kitchen area waiting for them, along with volunteers who are keen to help.

The Flying Angel Centre has a wrap-around, award-winning garden, and seafarers are encouraged to sit and enjoy the sights and sounds on the various benches and picnic tables that are provided.

The Flaminia Summerhouse is open for seafarers when the main centre closes, and free wi-fi access is also available there.  Signs giving the wi-fi access codes are easily visible on the picnic benches and in the Summerhouse.

The St Nicholas Chapel for Seafarers is also available for seafarers who require spending some quiet time alone in prayer, whilst inside the Main Centre a prayer box allows seafarers to privately leave a prayer for the Centre’s Hon Chaplain to say on their behalf.
